We are a dedicated childhood cancer charity committed to funding life-changing research for neuroblastoma and supporting families affected by this aggressive and challenging childhood cancer. Everything we do is driven by one goal — finding a cure and improving the lives of children diagnosed. To help us grow our impact, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Fundraising & Events Manager to join our small but high-performing team.

This is a varied and rewarding part-time role at the heart of our charity's revenue generation and operational delivery. You will help organise our flagship events — including large-scale fun runs , golf and dining fundraising events — while also developing and growing the corporate partnerships and sponsorships that are critical to our mission. You will also engage with community fundraisers, helping supporters maximise their impact.

Working closely with the CEO, you will ensure all events are delivered to a high professional standard, on time and on budget, while continuously looking for ways to grow income and improve how we operate.

Key Responsibilities

Events Management

  • Plan, project manage and deliver a range of events - including fun runs, golf days, dining events and other fundraising activations working with other team members and third party suppliers
  • Manage venues, suppliers, guests, logistics and event inventory end-to-end
  • Manage event related operations efficiently including inventory management
  • Attend and oversee bump-in, bump-out and event days, maintaining high delivery standards throughout

Fundraising & Partnerships

  • Develop and manage relationships with existing corporate sponsors, ensuring all sponsorship commitments are met and value is maximised
  • Proactively identify and secure new corporate sponsors, partners and corporate team participants
  • Engage and support community fundraisers, providing tools, guidance and motivation to help them achieve their fundraising goals
  • Develop compelling sponsorship proposals and partnership materials

About You

  • Proven experience in events management, ideally within the not-for-profit or charity sector
  • Strong project management skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with corporates
  • Experience engaging community fundraisers and supporters or in sales
  • Confident managing multiple projects simultaneously and working independently
  • Hands-on, solutions-focused and comfortable working in a small team environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with event registration or fundraising platforms is an advantage
  • Drivers licence and own vehicle required

What We Offer

  • 20 -22 hour part time contract (12 months) over 4 days
  • Salary: $80,000–$90,000 pro rata + superannuation + performance bonus (up to 12% of base salary)
  • Generous salary packaging benefit of $15,900 pre-tax (registered health charity)
  • Hybrid working: 2-3 days in the office (N Sydney 5 mins from metro), remainder from home
