About the Role

• Senior Practice Leader – Geelong – Towards Home Plus
• Part Time – Permanent Position
• Consumer Service Delivery Level 4: $88,850 - $92,865 p.a pro rata + super + salary packaging
• Location: Geelong, VIC 3220

Neami National have secured additional funding for a Victorian Government initiative - Towards Home+ as part of the Victorian Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Action Plan (2018).

Neami has established the following suite of services:

• Assertive outreach team with flexible brokerage
• Supportive housing team

The Senior Practice Leader will work in close partnership with the Service Manager and provide supervision and coaching to Towards Home+ workers.

As the Senior Practice Leader you will

• Work with the Service Manager to establish and maintain strong working partnerships with clinical mental health teams and other community partner organisations
• Work in closely with the Service Manager to provide leadership, practice development and coaching sessions to service delivery staff

Provide instruction and guidance on practice issues to staff, applying coaching and mentoring principles

What will you bring?

• Provide clinical oversight for and positive leadership of the clinical mental health team
• Facilitate a strong clinical governance culture within the team, where each practitioner takes responsibility for their own decision making and quality improvement activities (including leading internal audits & external accreditation requirements)

• Assess and screen referrals using appropriate tools, policies and procedures.
• Participate in psychiatric assessment with clients where appropriate.

• Experience working across a range of Commonwealth and State funded mental health programs and ensuring program implementation in line with funding requirements and contracts

Mandatory requirements
