Position Details

  • Full-Time, Maximum Term Contract until July 2027 (Parental Leave Cover)
  • Classification: Registered Nurse Level 2 salary range of Level 2: $100,064 - $105,123; per annum pro rata + Superannuation OR
  • Classification: Health Professional Level Level 2: $94,927 - $106,210 per annum pro rata + Superannuation
  • Salary packaging arrangements apply,

About Southern Wellbeing Hub

The Southern Wellbeing Hub is a service for people who are experiencing mental health concerns. The service delivery reflects principals of Trauma Informed Care and Recovery Oriented practice.

The Southern Wellbeing Hub service provides a holistic approach to care, addressing a range of social, physical, and emotional needs informed by Collaborative Relational Practice (CRP) and supported by best practice in evidence-based and evidence-informed care.

Services range from low intensity therapeutic support, for people presenting with mild mental health conditions, to psychological therapies for people with mild to moderate conditions. Individuals with chronic and complex mental health conditions can receive clinical care coordination, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) groups, psychiatric support and peer led service navigation.

About your new role

In this Mental Health Clinician role, you will have a background in and be registered as a Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, Social Worker, or a Mental Health Nurse including mental health accreditation with the relevant accreditation body in your field. If this accreditation has not yet been achieved, it is expected that this would be achieved within one year of working in the service.

You will:

  • Draw on your disciplinary skills and engage with consumers, the consumers treatment team, their family, friends, and carers
  • Provide high quality, evidence-based assessments and interventions aimed at improving mental health outcomes for consumers
  • Play an active role in disciplinary knowledge sharing with your colleagues and creating a reciprocal learning environment for staff.

What you will bring to the role

  • Formal tertiary qualifications in Nursing, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or related
  • Current full registration as a Registered Nurse/Nurse Practitioner with current annual practicing certificate from the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), OR
  • Current full registration as a Psychologist, Occupational Therapist or Registered Nurse with current annual practicing certificate from the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), OR
  • Current full registration as a Social Worker with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)

What the role requires

  • National Criminal History Check (police check) - disclosable outcomes considered
  • Current Working with Children Check - required before commencement of work
  • Australian working rights
  • A valid driver's licence
