We are seeking a passionate, relationship-focused and highly organised Partnerships & Grants Officer to help grow NCIE's funding, partnership and impact opportunities.
About the Role
Reporting to the CEO, the Partnerships & Grants Officer will play a key role in supporting the development of NCIE's corporate partnerships, sponsorship portfolio, philanthropic relationships and grant funding pipeline.
This position will work across the organisation to identify new opportunities, build meaningful relationships, secure funding and demonstrate the impact of NCIE's programs and services. The role will contribute directly to the organisation's sustainability, growth and community impact.
This position is part-time, 3 days a week.
Key Responsibilities
Partnerships & Corporate Engagement
- Support the development and implementation of NCIE's corporate partnerships strategy.
- Identify, research and engage prospective corporate and community partners.
- Assist in preparing partnership proposals, presentations and investment opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective partners.
- Coordinate partnership activities, communications and reporting.
- Maintain partnership records and stakeholder databases.
Sponsorships
- Identify and pursue sponsorship opportunities aligned with NCIE's programs, events and strategic priorities.
- Develop sponsorship proposals, prospectuses and partnership packages.
- Coordinate sponsorship agreements and ensure sponsor deliverables are met.
- Support sponsorship activation activities and stakeholder engagement initiatives.
- Prepare sponsorship recognition and impact reports.
- Assist in growing NCIE's sponsorship revenue and supporter network.
Grants & Philanthropy
- Research government, philanthropic, corporate and trust funding opportunities.
- Coordinate the preparation and submission of grant applications.
- Work collaboratively with program teams to gather information and develop compelling funding proposals.
- Maintain a grants calendar and funding pipeline.
- Monitor grant reporting, acquittals and compliance obligations.
- Support relationships with philanthropic organisations and funding partners.
Impact & Reporting
- Assist in collecting and analysing program outcome and impact data.
- Contribute to the development of impact reports, case studies and success stories.
- Support NCIE's impact measurement, social value and funding reporting initiatives.
- Assist in demonstrating the value and outcomes generated through partnerships, sponsorships and grant funding.
About You
You are a proactive and enthusiastic professional who enjoys building relationships, creating opportunities and contributing to meaningful social impact.
You will bring:
- Experience in partnerships, sponsorships, grants, fundraising, business development and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong written communication and proposal writing skills.
- Excellent relationship management, stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and project coordination capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- High attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM/database systems.
- A genuine commitment to community impact and cultural respect.
Desirable
- Experience in the not-for-profit, Indigenous, community, sport, health or social impact sectors.
- Knowledge of corporate sponsorship, ESG and philanthropic funding environments.
- Experience preparing grant applications, funding proposals and acquittal reports.
- Understanding of impact measurement and social outcomes reporting.
