Blue Mountains District ANZAC Memorial Hospital is an acute hospital that supports a population of approximately 80,000 and is the only ANZAC Memorial hospital remaining in NSW. Easily accessible to Sydney residents, our team of clinicians, allied health, and support staff works with the community on a shared goal to maintain the delivery of high-quality healthcare in the Blue Mountains region.

An exciting opportunity is now available to join the Blue Mountains Team in the role of Administration and Patient Services Manager on a Permanent Full Time basis. This position covers both Blue Mountains District ANZAC Memorial Hospital in Katoomba and Springwood Hospital.

The role of Administration and Patient Services Manager provides day to day operational support, leadership and management to all Administration and Patient Services staff. You will strive to see that a high standard of customer service is maintained to ensure a cohesive and consistent administration service that best meets the needs of Blue Mountains and Springwood Hospitals. You will work collaboratively with clinical and non-clinical teams to establish and maintain policies, procedures priorities, and work practices that promote flexibility but also consistency in administrative support whilst always keeping in mind NSW Health's Core Values of Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment.

Your success in the role will be driven by your ability to communicate effectively and identify priorities all whilst working in a demanding, busy, and complex environment and also dealing appropriately with competing issues as they arise.

Selection Criteria:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Management, Business, Health Management or equivalent experience in the management and leadership of a health service.
  • Demonstrated experience in the management and supervision of staff including, rostering, recruitment, performance management and leave management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to negotiate and communicate with different levels of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of elective surgery waitlist management relating to the NSW Health Policy Elective Surgery Access PD2022_01.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in use of iPM and other patient management databases.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in use of Microsoft Office applications and other corporate applications
  • High level competence in document and report preparation.
  • Current valid Driver’s Licence and willingness to use for work purposes.
