ABOUT YOUR ORGANISATION

We were established in late 2020 to fill gaps in charitable support for people receiving treatment in the Cancer Care Unit of the Northern Beaches Hospital. Since our establishment, we have raised sufficient funds to:

• establish a Wig Library at the hospital for patients requiring wig services;
• purchase essential medical equipment that has enabled the Cancer Care Unit to take part in clinical trials; and
• fund the employment of a RN as Clinical Trials Coordinator.

There is still more to do.

We conduct fundraising activities that involve participating in regular community events (e.g. fun runs etc), as well as 2-3 bespoke events each year, as well as receive donations from community members.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for two-to-three Committee members to fill recent and anticipated vacancies.

It is not an onerous commitment. We meet via Zoom every 2-3 months; and at least once a year face-to-face; as well as take part in any activities that we organise, if available and possible.

ABOUT YOU

We are seeking nominations from candidates who have a genuine commitment to the cause and who are able to make a contribution to what we do.

In terms of skillset, we would value individuals with skills in one or more of:

• Financial management
• Corporate, business and/or entrepreneurial skills or networks
• Fundraising / Sales.
