Shape the Future of Higher Education. Join NTEU NT Division as an Union Industrial Organiser
Are you ready to make a meaningful impact in the world of tertiary education? The National Tertiary Education Union (NTEU) NT Division is looking for a passionate and skilled Union Industrial Organiser to join our team. This is your chance to play a key role in advocating for university staff, resolving workplace issues, and driving capacity building initiatives within a dynamic, progressive organisation, where you'll play a crucial role in shaping the future working lives for academic and general staff in NT Universities.
The successful candidate will be based at the Casuarina campus of Charles Darwin University in Darwin.
The National Tertiary Education Union covers staff employed in universities, associated companies, research institutes, TAFE, student unions and adult and community education. The Union's membership includes Academic, General, Research and Professional staff.
As a Union Industrial Organiser, you'll find yourself at the heart of our progressive organisation, dedicated to advocating for the rights and interests of workers in the tertiary education sector. You'll be instrumental in providing industrial support to members, participating in collective bargaining, engaging in developing organising, recruitment, and campaign activities, as well as maintaining and servicing vital networks of workplace reps and activists.
We understand the importance of supporting our team members and offer a collaborative and supportive work environment where every individual is valued and empowered to make a difference.
If you're passionate about union principles and have experience in industrial, organising, advocacy, and campaigning, we want to hear from you. We're looking for candidates with relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent, along with the drive to effect positive change in the tertiary education industry.
Take the next step in your career and be part of a team that's committed to making a difference.
