Three full-time fixed-term opportunities for two years
At the National Tertiary Education Union (NTEU), we believe universities should be places where staff are valued, secure at work and treated with dignity. Every day our members stand together to improve working lives across Australia's higher education sector, and we're looking for experienced organisers to help grow that movement.
Whether you're an emerging organiser ready to build your career, an experienced industrial campaigner, or a senior organiser looking to lead ambitious organising projects, this is your opportunity to be part of something much bigger than a job.
Each role plays an important part in strengthening member power, growing our union and delivering real outcomes for workers across the tertiary education sector.
You'll spend your time building relationships with workers, identifying leaders, recruiting new members, developing campaigns and supporting members to take collective action around the issues that matter most.
Depending on your experience and the role you are appointed to, you'll also contribute to industrial strategy, enterprise bargaining, dispute resolution, campaign planning, mentoring organisers and leading complex organising initiatives.
This is varied, challenging and deeply rewarding work. Every conversation you have, every member you recruit and every campaign you help deliver contributes to building a stronger, fairer higher education sector.
At NTEU you'll join a values-driven organisation where your work has a genuine impact. We offer:

If you're motivated by fairness, collective action and creating lasting change, we'd love to hear from you.
