The Foundation for National Parks & Wildlife (FNPW) is the charity partner of Australia's national parks. FNPW exists to safeguard natural Australia for future generations, by protecting, restoring, and championing sustainable natural ecosystems in Australia.

Established a little over 50 years ago, we partner with federal, state and territory governments as well as Corporate Australia, rebuilding parks and wildlife populations and supporting environmental communities, to safeguard natural Australia for future generations to enjoy.

About the role:

We are looking for an outgoing and highly organised individual to assist with the management of daily business operational activities and administrative tasks.

Reporting directly to the Chief Operations Officer (COO), the role provides high-level support and coordination in a one-on-one working relationship serving as the primary point of contact for internal and external partners in all matters related to the functions of the COO.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting with the management of daily operational activities and keeping the COO well informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities, following up appropriately.
• Arranging and assisting with the onboarding of new employees.
• Assisting with business operational project management by creating assignments, tracking progress, and resolving issues.
• Preparing and maintaining operational documents and reports.
• Support the development, delivery, monitoring and reporting of FNPW RAP Working Group.
• Organising company events.

Requirements:

• Proven work experience as an Operations Co-ordinator or similar role
• Experience in office management or an administrative role
• Excellent communication and people management skills
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Ability to multitask and prioritise
• Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills
