The National Association of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers and Practitioners (NAATSIHWP) is the peak workforce organisation with responsibility for ensuring Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Health Workers and Health Practitioners, the only culturally based health workforce underpinned by national training and registration in the world, are embedded as a vital, valued and professional part of Australia’s health care system.
We play a key role in the delivery of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, education and employment outcomes; support a large and growing national network of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Health Workers and Health Practitioners; and work in partnership with other Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community Controlled Organisations, governments and a broad range of stakeholders.

NAATSIHWP is seeking a part-time experienced and highly organised Project Officer to join our team in a non-ongoing role. Please note, this is a Canberra based position. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to contribute to the successful delivery of an Indigenous-led Pacific region health workforce project with meaningful impact.
As Project Officer, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating project activities, supporting internal and external collaboration, and supporting effective project management and communication. You will work closely with team members, consultants, and key stakeholders to help drive the project forward and ensure on time delivery to a high standard.
If you are motivated, detail-oriented, and ready to make a positive contribution to the realisation of an Indigenous-led regional collaboration, we encourage you to apply. Experience in Pacific Island international development and/or Australian First Nations health, along with contract management expertise, would be highly regarded.
