Have you ever thought about sharing your home with a person with disability and making a genuine difference in someone’s life?
Do you live in the Pinjarra area? Then this role could be just right for you.
A 30-year-old woman is seeking a warm, caring, and reliable individual or family to welcome her into their home. Support focuses on encouragement, connection, supervision and mentoring, helping her live confidently and stay involved in the community. She has a love of dogs and enjoys getting out and about.
Homesharing offers a unique, home-based lifestyle, with a subsidy provided to help cover daily support needs and living costs. It’s about more than sharing a space, it’s about building a supportive, enriching relationship that benefits everyone involved.
The family is looking for a Homesharer volunteer who is available every second weekend. However, there is some flexibility in this arrangement, which may be adjusted to suit the right Homesharer and ensure a suitable match.
While previous support experience is welcomed, it’s not essential. What matters most is a positive attitude toward people with disability, strong communication skills, and a genuine commitment to care. You’ll also need a NDIS Worker Screening, completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module, and a current driver’s licence.
The successful applicant will receive a tax-free subsidy and access to training as required.
If this sounds like something you’d love to be part of, please submit an expression of interest (cover letter) along with your current résumé to Jane Anne via the "Apply Now" button.
