We are seeking expressions of interest from experienced and professional Managers to take our very successful café at the base of Uluru to the next level. The ideal candidate will be hands on and approachable to both our staff and guests. We would prefer applicants with experience managing a café / souvenir business in a remote location. 

We believe the successful applicant will have the following attributes 

  • Exceptional service skills with a warm welcoming personality
  • An ability to hire, train, nurture and motivate up to 15 Indigenous and Non-Indigenous employees
  • Ability to work autonomously and build a supportive team
  • A passion for coffee, food, marketing and guests
  • Experience in souvenir sales and developing an exciting local range of products
  • Confident and proactive, with the ability to lead by example
  • A practical, hands on approach and a relevant qualification(s)
  • Australian Citizenship/PR or a visa that allows you to work full time. (we do not undertake sponsorship programs)

The duties of the role include

  • Overseeing all day to day operations
  • Running peak shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Helping us with the expansion of food offering and guest experiences
  • Developing a good quality (local range) of souvenir products
  • Hiring and training staff
  • Cash management and other general management functions
  • Ordering, stock takes and food/beverage cost control
  • Arranging daily, weekly, seasonal and holiday specials and menus
  • Fostering a warm and inclusive community among the staff and guests
  • In store and local area marketing
  • Working with us to expand the business to add dinners
  • Delivering a truly exceptional experience to guests at Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park

We are offering an attractive renumeration package including annual salary of $75 000, the option to salary sacrifice and self-contained accommodation in Yulara for the nominal rent of $230 per week.
