The Continence Foundation of Australia provides support and advice to over 5 million Australians affected by, or at risk of, bladder and bowel control problems and acts as an advocate for their interests. As the national peak body, the Foundation exists to serve all Australians by promoting bladder and bowel health. A key priority for the Foundation is increasing knowledge of bladder and bowel health and incontinence management for health professionals, care workers and carers through the delivery of evidence based, best practice and engaging education.

The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for an Education Officer to join our Education Team on a full-time fixed-term contract. Reporting to the Education Manager, the successful candidate will be fully supported in their new role and will be expected to assist the Education Manager to meet the deliverables of the Foundation’s Education team.

Responsibilities

Some of the key responsibilities in this role are:

  • Coordinating the development of online learning courses, including formative and summative assessments
  • Managing multiple external subject matter experts, reviewers and providers to deliver quality education materials within strict timelines
  • Administering courses inside the Foundation’s Moodle-based Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Supporting the delivery of regular webinars and other education events
  • Preparing regular reports on course performance and evaluations
  • Liaising with our Marketing and Communication Team regarding event promotion

Key Requirements for the Role

Ideally you will have:

  • A degree in teaching/education
  • Demonstrated knowledge of adult and learning principles
  • Advanced written skills for the development of cohesive learning materials
  • Excellent oral language/communication skills
  • A passion for education
  • Strong project management skills
  • The ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders
  • An ability to work independently, as well as within a team
  • A strong attention to detail
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems including Moodle desirable
