Warakirri College is a highly regarded independent school operating across 3 campuses in Western and South-Western Sydney. Warakirri College offers Year 10 and HSC courses to young people 15-22 who have disconnected from mainstream educational pathways, but who now want to complete their education in a safe and inclusive context with very small classes, a flexible learning environment and a happy team of dedicated professionals. The College caters for around 350 students across the three campuses’ and is fully funded by State and Federal governments.

Due to the strong growth in student numbers at all campuses, Warakirri College is seeking to appoint a full-time permanent Mathematics Teacher at our Campbelltown Campus. Warakirri supports young people facing social disadvantage in Fairfield, Blacktown and Campbelltown.

The successful candidate will be:

• Flexible, creative, energetic and innovative Mathematics teacher
• Keen to support students' individual needs
• Confident in using IT
• Able to build strong professional relationships with staff and students
• Good communicator who wants to make a difference in the lives of young people

Essential to the role:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications including a Bachelor's Degree and Diploma of Education or equivalent
• Accreditation with NESA
• Experience in delivery of Stage 5/6 curricula
• Ability to teach young people who have faced social challenges
• High level of judgment, flexibility and foresight to prioritise/resolve issues in line with College requirements and student needs
• Highly developed communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
