Reporting to the Lead, VHHITAL, the Program Support Officer will undertake administrative duties to support the operational development and delivery of the Victorian HIV and Hepatitis Integrated Training and Learning (VHHITAL) program.
NWMPHN is the lead agency for the VHHITAL program and responsible for the delivery of the program across the state. To achieve this, we work closely with a consortium of other key stakeholders.
The program objectives are to improve the health outcomes for members of the community at risk of or living with Blood Borne Viruses (BBV) & Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs). We do this by delivering comprehensive training to general practitioners, nurse practitioners and primary care providers to support them in the testing, diagnosis, treatment, care and management of these conditions. Our efforts are also directed towards actively combating stigma and discrimination against people affected by BBV & STIs in our community.
We are North Western Melbourne Primary Health Network (NWMPHN), Victoria's largest independent, locally governed and run, not-for-profit PHN, dedicated to improving primary health care in our community.
PHNs have been established with the key objectives of increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of medical services for patients, particularly those at risk of poor health outcomes; and improving coordination of care to ensure patients receive the right care in the right place, at the right time.
Some evening or weekend work may be required to support our training delivery. Access to your own vehicle is required.
Please review the position description for further details about the role.
The successful candidate will be required to undertake a National Police Check.
Applicants from Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander background or CALD background are encouraged to apply.
