About the Role

Reporting to the Coordinator – Youth Services, the core responsibilities include:

  • Plan, develop and facilitate a range of services, activities and programs which improve the health and wellbeing of young people and reduce social isolation.
  • Ensure young people have a voice in decision making pertained to issues that impact on them.
  • Engage and support young people to access safe and socially inclusive activities, events, and programs.
  • Increase collaboration and cooperation between services, schools and other stakeholders resulting in better outcomes for vulnerable young people.

About You

  • Tertiary Qualification in Youth Work, Social Science, or relevant discipline.
  • Skills and experience in developing, facilitating and evaluating personal development programs with young people.
  • Skills and experience in engaging young people in an inclusive and strengths-based approach.
  • Knowledge and skills to provide information, referral, and advocacy for individual young people in a manner that demonstrates cultural awareness and sensitivity.
