Moreland Community Child Care Centres (MCCCC) was formed in 1988 when Mitchell Street, Tinning Street and Dunstan Reserve merged. Together the centres provide a 130 place children’s service. The service aims to maintain the friendliness of its smaller centres whilst drawing on the strengths and security provided by a larger organisation.

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate senior early childhood educator/team leader to join our team on a permanent part-time basis at our Dunstan Reserve site.

Dunstan Reserve is a purpose-built facility designed especially for children. Four well-equipped rooms provide a safe and stimulating environment for children from 6 months to school age.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and friendly educator to lead the team, mentor and support the babies to toddler room(s) team to achieve shared program goals. You will be responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating an educational and developmentally appropriate program for all children.

You will also be required to create strong and supportive relationships with families and the local community to bring the best care and environment for families attending the Centre.

About you

You must possess the following skills and experience to be considered for the role:

  • Diploma or a Bachelor trained educator with experience leading a team
  • An approachable, team-oriented manner and willingness to lead by example
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Proven understanding and working knowledge of the national quality framework, EYLF, VEYLDF and National Standards
  • Ability to engage with and foster strong relationships with a broad variety of stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience in planning, implementing and evaluating a developmentally appropriate and stimulating children’s program
  • Ability to lead, support and mentor other staff
  • Ability to work successfully with a wide range of families and early childhood professionals.
  • Demonstrated initiative and creativity within the early childhood role.
