Moorabool is not only a great place to work; it’s also a great place to live.
We support fewer in person hours, our people are afforded ultimate flexibility that meets the needs of each individual.
Moorabool Shire Council is a progressive organisation that is experiencing rapid growth and surging development. We offer a perfect blend of picturesque and friendly surrounds where you can enjoy an urban lifestyle in towns like Bacchus Marsh or take advantage of Moorabool’s smaller towns and hamlets, rural open spaces and natural surrounds.
Our focus is on building a healthy, inclusive and connected community; a liveable and thriving environment and an organisation that listens and adapts to the need of our evolving communities.
Help shape brighter futures for children and families in our community. As our Facilitated Playgroup & Multicultural Support Officer, you'll deliver engaging playgroups, provide outreach and support to culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD), refugee and asylum seeker families, and help children thrive through access to early years services. Working collaboratively with families, community organisations and early childhood providers, you'll build strong connections, promote inclusion, and support successful transitions to kindergarten and school. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families every day.
If you have questions specific to the role, please contact Ange Clark (Coordinator Early Years & Youth Services) on 5366 1297.
Send us an email at [email protected] using the subject line: Facilitated Playgroup & Multicultural Support Officer enquiry via EthicalJobs and we can chat about all the benefits of working at Moorabool. You're passionate about supporting children and families to thrive and believe in the power of play, connection and inclusion. You have experience working with young children and families, particularly those from CALD, refugee or vulnerable backgrounds, and are confident building trusted relationships within the community. With strong communication and organisational skills, you can deliver engaging programs, provide practical support and advocacy, and work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders. Most importantly, you're committed to creating welcoming, inclusive environments where every child and family feels valued and supported.
You hold a tertiary qualification in Early Childhood Education, Community Development, Community Services, Social Services, or a related field (or a combination of relevant qualifications and significant experience). You also maintain a current Level 2 First Aid Certificate and CPR accreditation, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for children and families.
