About Agile Psychological Medicine Clinic

At Agile Psychological Medicine Clinics (aPM) we believe our community should have access to personalised, flexible therapeutic care at their first interaction with mental health services.

We have a team of smart, dedicated psychologists, social workers and psychiatrists who are passionate about providing this care and we are looking for a senior social worker to join the team full time (although if you are interested in job share or part-time, we also invite you to apply)

What you will be doing:

• In collaboration with psychology and psychiatry colleagues, you will be meeting with consumers referred from Mon ash Health psychiatric triage or emergency and jointly with the consumer, come to an understanding of what supports might be required.
• Work to linking consumers in with appropriate services (eg housing, financial assistance, family violence services)
• Routinely measure the outcomes of your work and have this inform your work going forward
• Be part of a strong and supportive clinical team where we support each other to do interesting and challenging work

How you will be supported in your role:

• This is a social work-specific role and presents a fantastic opportunity to use and develop your skills within a very supportive team
• You will receive regular professional supervision, peer support, and the opportunity for career development.

About You:

• You are an accomplished social worker with a demonstrated interest in providing care to consumers with mental health concerns in who are presenting in situational crisis.
• You are a flexible thinker with the capacity to self-manage
• You have experience and/pr demonstrated interest in delivering interventions within mental health services
• You lead by example, thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and are truly passionate about delivering a high standard of recovery focused care
• You are motivated to provide mentoring, supervising and clinical leadership to junior colleagues
• You are in interested in a social work specific role in public mental health

What You Need:

• An Australian Association of Social Work (AASW) accredited Bachelor Degree or entry level Master’s Degree of Social Work that provides eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers
• Current drivers’ license and Working with Children Check
• Australian working rights
