ABOUT THE ROLE 

In this position you will manage the operations of the support coordination function to ensure it provides quality person-centred services. You will provide leadership and supervision to a team of Support Coordination Consultants and manage a small portfolio of NDIS participants in which you will build through building relationships, following best practice approaches you will work towards providing the best outcomes for our clients.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

You will have a thorough understanding of the NDIS and the ability to coordinate, manage and/or facilitate a range of supports to meet identified needs in accordance with participant plans.  You’ll be a great communicator and effective leader with the ability to engage and maintain a cohesive and productive team.

Desired Skills and Experience

Criteria:

  • Cert III in Individual Support or Cert IV in another related field
  • Demonstrated significant experience working within a Community or Disability Service.
  • A thorough knowledge and understanding of the NDIS and other relevant legislation.
  • Knowledge and experience of working collaboratively with local community, welfare services and industry partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both in written and verbal form.
  • Demonstrated experience in effectively dealing with conflict resolution.
  • Knowledge and experience of working within marginalised communities with complex mental health and physical needs.
  • Understanding of social disadvantage and commitment to the rights of Indigenous and other people living with disability and/or mental illness.
