MND WA provides information, advice and support services for people living with motor neurone disease (MND). 

Members, clients and their carers are our prime focus. We strive to understand and meet their needs to enhance the quality of life care for people living with MND. Our mission is to lead in the specialist support, enhancement of quality of life, awareness raising and promotion of research for people living with MND.

We are looking to add another member to our existing team.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced health professional to work with people at MNDAWA to: 

  • Provide information, advice and support to people living with MND, their families, carers and health professionals
  • Provide support coordination for NDIS participants
  • Plan, refer and assist people with MND to navigate the service system
  • Represent the needs of people with MND with NDIA, Disability Services,  service providers and funded agencies 

About the role

The Coordinator of Support is responsible for providing person centred, responsive and timely advice and support that includes: 

  • Assessing the needs of people living with MND
  • Planning to address current and future needs
  • Pre-planning for participation in the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
  • Coordination of Support for NDIS participants with MND
  • Making appropriate referrals
  • Assisting with negotiation of the service system
  • Acting as an interface with health professionals and service providers.
  • Provision of education to community groups and allied health professionals

Skills and experience

Essential for this role:

  • A Bachelor of Nursing or other Allied Health related tertiary qualification with a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of case planning, assessment and referral in the health services and disability arena
  • Highly developed interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Demonstrated computer literacy
  • Current  Western Australian Driver's Licence


  • Demonstrated experience working with people living with progressive degenerative neurological conditions
  • 2 years experience in a relevant role
