Your Opportunity

This role will provide support to clients from diverse backgrounds and also assist in the daily operations of the crisis units.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

• Assist clients with daily living activities such as meal preparation and accessing medications.
• Respond to any emergencies by accessing required internal or external support service.
• Assist with the coordination of client attendance at different programs, services and community meetings.
• Assist in general supervision of the clients throughout the services to ensure appropriate support.
• Collaborate with Unit Coordinators and other staff by providing client coordination and monitoring.
• Contribute to the general running of the centre and undertake shift checks as required.
• Complete a range of other administrative tasks for the efficient running of the centre.
• Ensure correct procedures are followed in relation to petty cash reimbursements, rent payments and occupation fees.

Requirements for Success

• Relevant experience in homelessness and working in residential setting.
• Comprehensive understanding of the issues and needs of service users particularly homelessness.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
