Your Opportunity

Mission Australia Housing has an exciting new role for a National Manager – Operational Projects to join our leadership team to implement, manage and deliver a range of key operation projects across our national housing portfolio.

The role will include aspects of project management, project implementation, overseeing the management of current and ongoing operations projects including bi-annual rent reviews, local area planning and annual tenant surveys as well as lead or support on a range of organisational projects in areas of business planning, growth and service improvement.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Develop and manage operational project plans to track the progress of deliverables
  • Participate in stakeholder consultation, engagement and delegation of tasks
  • Identify risks and develop and implement risk management strategies
  • Monitor and report on projects progress to relevant stakeholders and contribute to organisational reporting systems
  • Contribute to and utilise project management framework systems and tools
  • Work with the Management Team and Operations team to identify operational focus areas and priorities
  • Identify, analyse and develop improvements to processes and systems to meet the needs of MAH
  • Build and foster respectful and constructive working relationships with all staff and other stakeholders

Requirements for Success

  • Tertiary qualifications in a related field.
  • Experience in social or affordable housing or related field
  • Strong project management and project implementation experience
  • Sound understanding of the community housing compliance environment (legislation, standards, performance monitoring)
  • High level written and inter-personal skills.
  • Ability to develop and deliver small group training and information sessions and materials.
  • Ability to work constructively with a variety of stakeholders
  • High level research and analysis skills.
  • Computer Literacy, Competent in use of electronic communication and database systems
