Your Opportunity

The Common Ground program provides tenants with individual case management and coordination of onsite health, recreational, social and welfare services.  The Front Office Coordinator will facilitate good communication between Camperdown Support Services and Mission Australia Housing staff on site to ensure smooth and effective front office operations. Including the management of rostering concierge coverage in their absence. They will provide guidance, training and support to Camperdown Support Service Case Managers and undertake appropriate client assessments as required by the Program Manager.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Warmly greets all guests and residents and creates a calm and inviting lobby/concierge area.
  • De-escalating any potential incidents using a trauma informed, person centred approach.
  • Develops a strong knowledge of Common Grounds facilities and services and of the surrounding community.
  • Provides guests and residents with information about facilities, services, and activities in or outside the property.
  • Handles guest complaints and solves problems to the degree possible, escalating where required in line with Mission Australia policy and procedure.

Requirements for Success

  • Relevant qualifications ideally within Community Services
  • Previous experience as a Case Worker or similar position
  • Experience in assisting and supporting people suffering from homelessness
  • A positive and person-centred approach with a strong guiding belief about everyone’s capacity to self-right and grow within and beyond their current circumstances.
  • An understanding from combined lived experience and professional development about factors that support recovery and a proven ability to use this to positively support others on their recovery journey.

Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
