Your Opportunity

Join our team and contribute to the impactful work of Mission Australia. We are seeking a dedicated professional to support the GMPPD and the development project team in the acquisition, development, redevelopment, and disposal of property opportunities. Your efforts will play a crucial role in advancing the mission of Mission Australia Housing, and its associated businesses.

In this role, you will provide essential support to major housing procurement processes. This includes identifying potential sites or buildings, conducting thorough due diligence, and navigating contract negotiations to completion. Your expertise will ensure that our property initiatives are executed with precision and align with our broader organisational goals. Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Assist the Property Development team to deliver on the property strategy and implementation of plans which may include existing freehold assets being redeveloped or the reporting and where gaps develop suitable reports
  • Provide regular updates - to insurance SME's to ensure new properties and development sites are suitably insured
  • Review existing registers and develop and maintain registers of external property professionals that may assist us in our property activities
  • Assist with the development of standard engagement and contracting terms for property professionals including performance assessment approach
  • Build and maintain strong internal relationships and deliver an exemplary service to our stakeholders
  • Develop strong, effective and consultative working relationships with key internal stakeholders, build, and maintain effective working relationships with external stakeholders
  • Participate and contribute to the process of planning, scoping and delivery of new potential freehold transactions, including obtaining respective approvals required externally and internally and the delivery of freehold property acquisitions, developments and disposal activities for Residential Aged Care, AOD and Housing residential dwellings
  • Monitor and manage the delivery of contractor/ consultants works and ensure they are in line with expectations and in accordance with predetermined KPI's

Requirements for Success

  • Relevant qualification in Property or related field
  • Extensive knowledge of the Property sector including commercial property management and development
  • Demonstrated experience in project development ideally as an ADM with built-form experience
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Strong listening and engagement skills including the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to travel interstate - visiting sites and areas of opportunities for funding and development
  • The ability to work in a team and respond to the Property needs of a diverse and changing organisation, whilst looking for ways to improve systems, processes, performance, reporting and service in a cost-effective manner
