About the role

Haven; Home, Safe and Mind Australia Limited have formed a consortium to assist people experiencing homelessness to transition from temporary hotel accommodation into housing as part of the Victorian Government’s From Homelessness to a Home (H2H) program.

The H2H initiative is an opportunity to make a lasting impact on homelessness and rough sleeping in Victoria. We have a fixed term 18 month, full time opportunity as a Service Manager, in the Loddon Mallee region, leading and managing all aspects of the service and working collaboratively with a team to ensure a high standard of delivery. They will support vulnerable people with multiple and complex needs to obtain affordable housing, promote health and wellbeing, and work in a holistic way to prevent a return to rough sleeping.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage services to clients who have experienced homelessness to ensure provision of tailored services.
  • Provide leadership to ensure delivery of safe, effective recovery orientated care.
  • Guide a high performing team by engaging staff, setting clear direction and performance expectations.
  • Deliver targeted and integrated case managed responses to clients through outreach by holding a reduced caseload.
  • Work closely with consortium partners and service providers to ensure a high standard of service delivery and support.
  • Manage and be accountable for achievement of service performance and budget targets.

What you’ll bring

  • Tertiary qualifications (minimum Certificate IV) in Mental Health, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or other health-related field.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in mental health and homelessness with the capacity to communicate with complex systems for clients with complex needs.
  • Proven leadership and management skills; leadership of a mobile workforce is desirable.
  • Successful track record in relationship development, management, and strategic partnerships.
  • Experience in financial management, budget control and reporting.
