About the role

The Fee For Service program offers a targeted range of supports and services to individuals with psychosocial and complex needs who have NDIS plans and/or TAC and WorkCover support packages. The program aims to maximise recovery outcomes through education and vocational support, mentoring and coaching, housing and linkage services, counselling, NDIS planning, support coordination and access to services. Fee For Service operates in the context of local community with a focus on empowering clients to have choice and control over their services and recovery goals.

We are seeking empathetic, self-motivated Mental Health Practitioners for 4 month fixed term, full or part time opportunities to work alongside a caring team in the Bendigo area. Working from home, you will empower and mentor clients building their capacity, maximising care packages and meeting recovery goals through direct outreach, telehealth and remote supports.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver high quality outreach services, case managed responses and facilitate positive educational and social experiences.
  • Support clients with strengths based, recovery-orientated approaches to develop daily living skills, capacity and resilience.
  • Complete assessments and deliver support coordination services in line with identified care plan goals and service delivery needs.
  • Provide information and mentoring to clients to establish connections with community, families and carers, create networks and access to relevant services.
  • Collaborate with a range of services and the community to ensure a co-ordinated, integrated response to client’s recovery goals.

What you’ll bring

  • Tertiary qualifications (minimum Certificate IV) in Mental Health, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or other health-related field.
  • Expertise in working outreach and/or support coordination with people with mental health issues, complex needs and interacting with families and carers.
  • Proven capability to plan goal focused care and implement therapeutic, recovery-oriented frameworks and practices.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the Community Services sector, NDIS and ability to build strong relationships with service providers, clinical teams and key stakeholders.
