Mind Australia is one of the country’s leading community-managed specialist mental health service providers with a range of residential, mobile outreach, centre based and online services. We have been supporting people living with the day-to-day impacts of mental illness, as well as their families, friends and carers for over 40 years.
We provide practical and motivational support that helps people to develop the skills they need to move on, thrive and improve the quality of their lives. It’s an approach to mental health and wellbeing that looks at the whole person in the context of their daily life. Mind is committed to diversity and social inclusion.
The Community Recovery Program (CRP), a component of the North East Area Mental Health Service, provides 24/7 residential psycho-social rehabilitation for clients with psychiatric disability. Recovery-focused support, treatment and care is shared in partnership with Austin Health. Clients move directly from the community to CRP or ‘step-down’ from a Psychiatric In-Patient Unit, Secure Extended Care Unit (SECU) or Forensicare at Thomas Embling Hospital.
We are seeking a compassionate, driven Community Mental Health Practitioner - Team Leader for a 12 month fixed term, full time opportunity in the Heidelberg area. You will provide leadership and support to a dedicated team delivering quality recovery oriented services to clients. The Team Leader is integral as a practice lead to the Practitioners by providing supervision, mentoring and coaching.
