About the role

A permanent part-time position has become available at Bendigo Adult Prevention and Recovery Care (PARC). Mind Australia is contracted by Bendigo Health to provide the residential psychosocial and recovery support services at this modern and purpose built facility. PARC is a 10-bed residential program for people experiencing mental illness.

Fostering a collaborative relationship with Bendigo Health and the APARC team, this role will see you utilising your lived experience to manage the provision of short term intensive treatment and support for clients. Reporting to the Service Manager, you will strive to improve mental illness through a combination of recovery focused community and clinical mental health services.

What are we looking for?

  • Tertiary qualifications (minimum Certificate IV) in Mental Health, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or other health-related field as designated by Mind
  • Lived experience of mental ill health and recovery to provide specialist services to clients, families, carers
  • Demonstrated ability to liaise with Clinical Partners to implement a recovery oriented framework
  • Previous experience with clients experiencing mental illness, helping them understand and manage their own mental health
  • Supervision of the development of strengths based assessments for clients
  • Experience overseeing the facilitation and design of group work aligned with individual recovery plans
  • Ability to build solid connections with clients, colleagues and stakeholders
