Minda Assist Therapy (MAT) is a multi-disciplinary team that provides professional assessment and support for people with disability who receive a service or are supported by Minda.

The Opportunity:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic growing team. Undertaking occupational therapy assessment, intervention and evaluation, providing recommendations that impact positively on a person’s engagement, functional independence, safety and participation in their daily occupations within relevant environments.

Key skills, knowledge and attributes:

  • Experience working in a NDIS Environment
  • Previous experience assessing and prescribing appropriate assistive technology and home modifications (both basic and complex).
  • Experience adhering to the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia registration standards, codes and guidelines and the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Practice Standards.
  • Ability to provide training to a person with disability and those who support that person.
  • Actively support Occupational Therapy and MAT requirement for quality and compliance.
  • The ability to consider duty of care whilst respecting the rights of a person with disability to make choices and decisions for their own lives.
  • Provision of a high standard of support to a person with disability using multi-disciplinary and collaborative approaches.

Key Requirements of the role:

  • Ability to obtain the NDIS worker screening clearance through the DHS (Department of Human Services) website prior to employment
  • South Australian Drivers Licence
  • First Aid certificate
