We provide a wide range of services and assistance for people with mental health issues, disabilities, youth and older Australians and those requiring community care.
PARC's are a welcoming and understanding environments that supports clients of Eastern Mental Health Services in their recovery and independence.
Maroondah and Linwood PARCs offer a home-like setting for participants to start or continue their recovery journey and resume their role in the community by providing coordinated, recovery-oriented treatment and support in partnership with Eastern Health. Eastern Health and Wellways work with PARC participants to encourage or maintain links to, friends and the community, and to re-engage with the aspects of life that are important and meaningful to them.
LinC is a volunteer program that matches PARC participants with volunteers on a one on one basis for a three-month period to work on the participant's community-orientated goals. The program has a recovery focus and aims to support socially isolated participants to improve their confidence in engaging with their local community
The role of the LinC Coordinator is to oversee volunteers who have been recruited to primarily assist Eastern Health PARC participants and their families with social inclusion and community connection activities. Other aspects of this role include:
