Perform accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts receivable transactions. The role has responsibility for effective accounts processing and adding value to customer relationships.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and maintain accounts transaction-related information and records on accounts receivable
  • Monitor and maintain accounts receivable processing activities
  • Assist with month-end-close
  • Reconciliation of debtor accounts
  • Debt Follow Up, including monitoring customer accounts details for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities
  • Assist in the preparation of annual financial statement and audit

What do you need?

  • Tertiary qualifications in financial services or related discipline or equivalent experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in accounts receivable
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of accounts receivable and general bookkeeping procedures, including double entry principles
  • Experience with debt follow up
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • High level attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a high-volume environment
