Lotus Support Services role is to advocate for and support adults who experienced childhood abuse, including child sexual abuse in institutional settings.

Lotus provides support in living with the lifelong impacts of trauma from childhood abuse and seeking justice via applications for the National Redress Scheme and engagement with the Royal Commission into Violence, Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation of People with a Disability.

How you will make a Difference:

As a Redress Support Worker, you will work as part of Lotus Support Services team to provide flexible, timely and transparent practical assistance and emotional support to people engaging with the Scheme.

This is a full-time fixed term employment opportunity to June 2027, with conditions and salary at Level 5 of the SCHADS Award.

To be considered for this role, you’ll need to demonstrate effective engagement and interpersonal skills (particularly in the areas of support and advocacy), communication skills (both written and oral), be solution and problem solving focussed, and an understanding and commitment to supporting those people in the community in crisis situations who are homeless or at risk of homelessness (including those who may be vulnerable and marginalised).

Empathy, delivering trauma-informed support and experience in social work or a related field, particularly with survivors of trauma, is highly desirable.
