Lotus Support Services role is to advocate for and support adults who experienced childhood abuse, including child sexual abuse in institutional settings. Lotus provides support in living with the lifelong impacts of trauma from childhood abuse and seeking justice via applications for the National Redress Scheme and engagement with the Royal Commission into Violence, Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation of People with a Disability.

How you will make a Difference:

As a Find and Connect Worker, you will work as part of the Lotus Place Team to provide initial response, ongoing assistance and support to people who experienced childhood abuse in institutional settings who are searching for (or may have located) their records of care or other personal history searches.

This is a part-time fixed term employment opportunity (15.2 hours per week) to June 2026, with conditions and salary at Level 3 of the SCHADS Award.

To be considered for this role, you’ll need to demonstrate effective engagement and interpersonal skills (particularly in the areas of support and advocacy), communication skills (both written and oral), and be solution and problem solving focused.

Experience in assisting people with information gathering, personal record searching and coordinating complex case work (some advocacy and resourcing) is also essential.
