JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented permanent part time lifestyle assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational skills, impeccable attention to detail, and a passion for providing exceptional service. As a lifestyle assistant, you will be responsible for assisting clients with a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Making a difference in aged care by coordinating a meaningful lifestyle program that overcomes boredom, inactivity, isolation and depression with our residents.
  • Working in a multicultural diverse home that embraces all cultures and cultural celebrations
  • Creating, facilitating and evaluating individual and group lifestyle programs to ensure that our residents have the best day possible each and every day.
  • Work in consultation with the wider care team to provide relevant and timely information for the care planning process
  • You will be supported and guided by the Lifestyle Coordinator.

ABOUT YOU:

  • Completed or currently enrolled in Certificate IV in Lifestyle & Leisure (Diversional Therapy), or similar
  • A minimum of 12 months experience in a lifestyle or personal care role in an aged care environment
  • First Aid Level II certificate
  • Highly motivated and engaging personality with a desire to teach and make a difference within the home
  • Demonstrated leadership and communication skills and an excellent relationship-builder
  • Previous experience delivering recreational activities and the ability to work within a team
