What you'll bring

To thrive in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • A commitment to sustainable gardening practices - applying environmentally responsible methods that align with organisational sustainability goals.
  • Strong horticultural and garden‑maintenance skills - including maintaining garden beds, pruning, planting, spraying, weeding and mulching.
  • Sound knowledge of plants, turf, pests, weeds and diseases - enabling effective care and problem‑solving across diverse garden environments.
  • Competence in operating handheld and ride‑on machinery - ensuring safe and efficient use of equipment.
  • Strong time‑management, organisational and communication abilities - with the capacity to adapt quickly and resolve issues effectively.
  • A compassionate, flexible and positive attitude - contributing to a respectful and supportive workplace culture.
  • Ability to build positive, respectful relationships - and actively support a collaborative team environment.
  • Previous maintenance experience - with trade qualifications preferred but not essential.
  • Capacity to work both independently and as part of a team - demonstrating initiative, reliability and accountability.

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:

  • A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
  • Current Drivers Licence
