The Families and Young People Services team currently have a vacancy for a permanent full time Rostering Officer to join the Residential Care and Transition Services (RCaTS) team in Nudgee. We are seeking an experienced, client focused and team-oriented administrator to assist the Rostering Coordinator.

The role…

  • Take responsibility for developing and maintaining rostering templates for designated programs.
  • Ensure staff allocations match skills, knowledge and interpersonal styles to program needs.
  • Ensure rosters are staffed in accordance with legislative requirements, and Mercy Community policies and procedures, including fatigue management.
  • Arrange replacement staff to cover planned and unplanned absences.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive record management.

To be eligible for this position you will require:

  • Previous experience (2 years +) creating and maintaining rosters, preferably in human services environment.
  • Previous experience in an administrative role.
  • A good understanding of the application of industrial legislation and guidelines relating to shift work.
  • High level of attention to detail and very high standards of accuracy.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task while working to deadlines.
  • Intermediate computer and word processing skills using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • A Queensland Drivers Licence, ability to obtain positive notice in the Working with Children Check (Blue Card), positive Police Check and any other legislatively required personal history screening as required

This role may require you to work within a staggered work schedule and to participate in after hours on-call support as needed.

It is also beneficial to have:

  • Cert III or IV in Business Administration
  • Sound understanding of Workplace Health & Safety requirements within an office environment.

This position offers a competitive remuneration package of $60,248.00 per annum in line with level 3 of our Enterprise Agreement and other benefits in line with our Agreement.
