About the Role

The successful candidate will focus on the implementation and delivery of the MercyCare Youth Peer Pathway Program. This includes delivering training courses, linking mentoring activities, maintaining oversight of stakeholder relationships, supervising other program staff, and reviewing and reporting of the program to the Coordinator Youth Accommodation and Tenancy Support.

This is a new part time position (60.8 hours per fortnight) until 31 December 2021 and will be based across our West Perth and Mirrabooka locations. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate previous training delivery experience.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and Diploma in Peer Support (or related)
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering training in a clinical setting
  • Experience designing, delivering & implementing education plans and programs aligned to learner needs
  • Previous experience working in community services is highly desired
  • Knowledge of the variety of peer roles and the principles and practices of peer support
  • Advocate for the value of and lived experience and integration of peer workers in the workforce
  • Excellent project management and leadership skills including project development, implementation, resource management, evaluation and the ability to lead others
  • Prior experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders to achieve organisational objectives
  • Driver’s Licence
  • Working with Children Check
  • National Police Clearance (obtained within the last six months)
