MercyCare is a leading aged care, early learning, disability, family and community services provider. Due to rapid growth and high demand, MercyCare is currently seeking multiple experienced Support Workers on a part time basis in all suburbs in the Perth Metro area and surrounds. Some areas include:
MercyCare Support Workers provide high-quality support within our clients’ homes to encourage and promote independence and facilitate connections with others. Duties include house cleaning, help with laundry, assistance to transfer clients in and out of bed or chairs, assistance in showering, personal hygiene and toileting, meal preparation, medication administration, shopping, and transporting of clients. Importantly, the role is varied and relies on compassion and an ability to build real relationships with the people we support.
You have a genuine passion for helping others and making a difference to our client’s quality of life. You are often praised for your kindness and compassion. You can easily build a relationship with others and have a positive attitude in all you do. You are reliable with a good work ethic and are comfortable working independently.
Support Workers must be able to attend full day orientation and training on 12th – 13th October. We are seeking candidates with availability across Mondays to Fridays for a minimum of 3 days between the hours of 7am to 7pm (if you are in the CBD, Inner and Western region then additional availability across Saturday to Sunday will be looked upon favourably). However, this does not mean that you will be rostered for work for these full time slots and hours each day will vary.
