What you’ll do

Reporting to the Director of Operations & Business Development, this is a strategic and hands-on leadership role overseeing the full People & Culture function. You’ll be the organisation’s advisor on all workforce matters, partnering closely with Executive leadership and Finance to deliver compliant, contemporary, high-performing people practices. Your remit includes:

• Workforce strategy & organisational development
• Employee relations
• Performance, conduct & workplace investigations
• Award & enterprise agreement interpretation
• Workforce compliance & governance
• Payroll-related employment oversight
• Psychosocial safety & employee wellbeing
• WorkCover & return to work
• Learning, capability & leadership development
• HR systems, reporting & workforce analytics

This role also leads the organisation’s approach to workforce risk, culture, employee engagement, and employment compliance.

What you’ll bring

You’re a confident and experienced HR leader who can move seamlessly between strategic workforce planning and complex operational matters.

Essential

• Bachelor degree qualification in Human Resources, Employment Relations, Business, Psychology or related discipline
• Significant generalist HR leadership experience
• Advanced employee relations capability
• Strong knowledge of Australian employment law
• Proven experience interpreting Awards and Enterprise Agreements
• Demonstrated experience managing complex employee relations matters
• Experience leading workplace investigations, performance and conduct processes
• Experience partnering with Finance on payroll compliance matters
• Knowledge of psychosocial safety, WorkCover and return to work obligations
• Current Victorian Driver License, Right to work in Australia

 Highly Regarded

• Experience in mental health, community services, healthcare, disability or NFP sectors
• SCHADS and/or Nurses Award expertise
• AHRI certification
• Return to Work experience
• Certificate IV in Training & Assessment qualification
