The Opportunity

Home Support are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic and customer-focused individual to provide comprehensive operational and administrative support within its Community Home Support Team.

The Community Home Support team delivers a range of support services for older adults, people with disabilities and their carers who are in receipt of Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP), Home and Community Care Program for Younger People (HACC PYP) and National Respite for Carers (NRCP) services.

This position performs a critical role within the Community Home Support team with a primary focus on customer service, data entry, client liaison, staff and client rostering and payroll processing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and process accurate and automated information and records required for payroll and debtor functions.
  • Respond to client enquiries promptly, accurately and when necessary, direct customers/clients to the appropriate person.
  • Generate and maintain regular and working rosters.
  • Provide administrative support across the service delivery area of Client Connections and update client and staff database.
  • Participate in the after hours on-call roster.
  • Provide input into the streamlining and development of procedures and work instructions designed to improve the operational efficiency of the department.
  • Work cooperatively with colleagues to establish and maintain effective work relationships.
  • Contribute to the operations of the department through active participation in meetings and other activities.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have the following:

The successful applicant must possess a high level of customer service, a post-secondary qualification in administration (below diploma level) and experience in an administrative role (or other relevant experience). The successful applicant will work closely with two other Client Services Officers within the Community Home Support team.

  • Post-secondary qualification in administration (below diploma level) or some experience in an administrative role or relevant experience
  • Experience administering services to frail aged people and people with a disability and their carers.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to handle queries in a tactful and courteous manner and communicate with people from diverse range of backgrounds.
  • Excellent computer skills utilising a range of packages including staff rostering and client database programs.
