The Royal Melbourne Hospital Mental Health Service (RMH MHS) is committed to Social and Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB), trauma-informed, recovery-focussed mental health service delivery. This role works across the service to ensure Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander consumers receive culturally safe, responsive and accessible care.

Your new role:

  • Deliver specialist SEWB-informed assessment, formulation and intervention for consumers with complex needs
  • Provide secondary consultation and clinical advice to multidisciplinary teams
  • Provide culturally safe welcoming, engagement and care planning
  • Deliver cultural consultation, workforce training and reflective practice
  • Strengthen pathways and partnerships with Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations
  • Support development of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander workforce

About you:

  • You identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander
  • You have extensive experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
  • Advanced clinical skills in mental health assessment, formulation and intervention
  • Understanding of Social and Emotional Wellbeing and culturally safe care
  • Experience in clinical leadership, consultation and workforce development
