Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Fundraising and Engagement Officer to join our team. Working closely with the Head of Advocacy, Fundraising and Marketing this is a diverse and pivotal role in our donations and engagement function.

A born communicator and database guru – preferably with extensive experience using Raisers Edge, the successful candidate will take ownership of and work extensively with the database, coordinate multi-channel donor and fundraising marketing campaigns, activations and events, engage key stakeholders to communicate the work of McAuley Community Services for Women (McAuley), the issues of family violence and homelessness especially in relation to women and their children, as well as managing McAuley’s social media and online presence.

Flexible and energetic, the requirements of the role are varied and will suit a real go-getter with a hunger for making a difference. You will be a strong communicator with superb verbal and written skills along with a good grasp of numeracy and data analysis.

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • Undergraduate qualification in a relevant Business discipline (preferably Marketing or Commerce)
  • 2 years’ experience in database management – donor databases, specifically Raisers Edge, would be preferable.
  • Demonstrated ability to write effective and compelling stakeholder and marketing communications.
  • Advanced computer skills including social media platforms, word processing, spreadsheets and design platforms (including InDesign)
  • Confidence and experience in to presenting to groups (adults and children) to represent the work done by McAuley as well as the issues of domestic violence and homelessness and in representing the organisation at displays and in the receipt of donations
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple and competing work tasks to deliver on agreed deadlines.
  • Ability to work both autonomously as well as part of a broader team.
  • National Police Check required
  • Working with Children’s Check required (Employee version).
