The opportunity:

Reporting to the Executive General Manager Finance (VCGS) and Head of Financial Accounting (MCRI), you'll support the delivery of accurate financial reporting, compliance and analysis across both organisations.

You'll work closely with stakeholders across the business to provide financial insights, maintain robust controls and contribute to initiatives that support informed decision-making and organisational performance.

What you’ll do

  • Lead month-end activities including journals, reconciliations and financial reporting
  • Prepare financial statements and provide analysis to support business decisions
  • Deliver variance analysis, forecasting support and ad hoc reporting
  • Support treasury activities including cashflow monitoring and investment reporting
  • Partner with leaders across MCRI and VCGS to provide financial advice and insights
  • Assist with budgeting, costing reviews and financial education initiatives
  • Support compliance activities including BAS, FBT, WorkCover and audit requirements
  • Contribute to process improvements and finance transformation initiatives

What you’ll bring

  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline
  • CA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification
  • Strong experience in financial accounting and reporting
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with large datasets
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
  • High attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a complex, fast-paced environment
  • A collaborative approach and a passion for continuous improvement
