The MindMap Youth Portal is an ACT first initiative, which aims to support children, young people (0-25 years) and their carers seeking mental health support and services. The Youth Portal acts as an online triage and links users directly to information, support and service providers within the ACT.
As the Youth Navigator, you will be responsible for direct service delivery through the Youth Portal. You will respond to enquiries via phone, email, text and webchat helping children, young people, stakeholders, parents/carers, services, and professionals navigate the mental health system in the ACT by providing information and referral pathways.
The portal is operational between 11am to 10pm, 7 days a week and between 12-8pm on public holidays. The core hours of the Youth Navigator position will span across the week and weekend. Working from home provisions will be in place to allow for working outside of regular business hours. You will be required to work with minimal supervision, using online communication to support and collaborate within a small team.
Other duties include sourcing and creating appropriate mental health and wellbeing content, reviewing existing content on the Portal, promoting MindMap through networking events and expos and working collaboratively with other team members.
