MARSS is a vibrant client focused organisation that provides settlement services and programs to migrants, refugees, asylum seekers, and humanitarian entrants in the ACT and region, in a caring, supporting and enabling way.

MARSS is seeking a full-time counsellor to:

• Provide mental health counselling to MARSS clients
• Provide training and support to caseworkers
• Design and deliver information sessions on accessing mental health support
• Work with other mental health and settlement service providers to support migrants and refugees in the ACT and surrounds

Successful applicants must have:

• Tertiary qualification in Psychology, Counselling, Mental Health, or any other relevant qualification with supervised clinical experience
• Experience in conducting mental health assessments and interventions
• Proven experience in working in partnership with internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Previous experience or the desire to work with migrants and refugees settling in Australia is desirable.
