About the role
Reporting to the Community Leader – North Fitzroy, the Community Assistant plays a key role in ensuring the efficient running of the Community House through practical support, coordination, and relationship-building.
The role includes a broad variety of responsibilities, such as:
- Driving community members to appointments and social engagements
- Coordinating property and equipment maintenance
- Preparing and sharing internal communications
- Supporting HR‑related duties such as timesheet verification
- Providing technology support
- Liaising with internal Province staff and external service providers
- Supporting budgeting and financial processes
- Contributing to daily community life through meaningful presence and practical assistance
About you
You will be a relational, organised, and service-oriented person who thrives in a role with variety, community interaction, and practical problem-solving.
Key Requirements include:
- Discretion and confidentiality
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organisational and time‑management skills
- Flexibility and responsiveness
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Experience in budgeting, property maintenance, HR support, and Microsoft Office 365 and Apple Products
