About the role

Reporting to the Community Leader – North Fitzroy, the Community Assistant plays a key role in ensuring the efficient running of the Community House through practical support, coordination, and relationship-building.

The role includes a broad variety of responsibilities, such as:

  • Driving community members to appointments and social engagements
  • Coordinating property and equipment maintenance
  • Preparing and sharing internal communications
  • Supporting HR‑related duties such as timesheet verification
  • Providing technology support
  • Liaising with internal Province staff and external service providers
  • Supporting budgeting and financial processes
  • Contributing to daily community life through meaningful presence and practical assistance

About you

You will be a relational, organised, and service-oriented person who thrives in a role with variety, community interaction, and practical problem-solving.

Key Requirements include:

  • Discretion and confidentiality
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong organisational and time‑management skills
  • Flexibility and responsiveness
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Current Driver’s Licence
  • Experience in budgeting, property maintenance, HR support, and Microsoft Office 365 and Apple Products
