We are looking for experienced professional's with a demonstrated commitment to achieving quality outcomes for young people. There are permanent part time opportunities available, great some for someone looking for a work life balance who has day time commitments.
In this rewarding role, you will act as a support and mentor to a young person living within our homes. By utilising a range of skills from your toolbox such as empathy, patience, conflict resolution and negotiation, you will interact therapeutically and positively by spending quality time with them at home cooking meals, undertaking household duties and participating in daily general duties.
Providing exceptional care for our young people takes a village, and you will work collaboratively with other professionals including fellow care workers, DHHS, case managers and therapeutic practitioners. The role requires the successful candidate to complete online reports, update records and complete other compliance requirements as needed.
As this role predominately requires work in the evenings and overnight, it will involve providing care and supervision for restless sleepers, negotiating bed times and any other function required to ensure a safe and secure household for our young people during the night.
Our homes operate on a 24/7 basis, thus successful applicants must be available to work a roster including evenings, overnights, weekends and public holidays.
While this role is highly rewarding, it comes with its challenges as our young people often come with a trauma background and can be volatile and unpredictable, so we require staff who are well balanced, empathetic and understanding and are willing to go the extra mile to keep them safe.
