About the role

The HR Coordinator is responsible for the delivery of a range of HR services, administration, compliance, procedural and operational tasks in order to support the achievement of business unit and program objectives across the organisation. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager and working collaboratively with the wider HR team, this position is responsible for overseeing employee compliance to ensure our obligations of being a child safe organisation are met in order protect the best interests of the vulnerable children, young people and families with which we work.

Based in South Melbourne, this is a full time permanent position. Ideal start date: 12 October 2020.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• At least three years Human Resources experience with a demonstrated application of contemporary HR procedures and practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Well-developed organisational and administrative skills including strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and manage you own workload.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively deal with sensitive issues whilst maintaining a high degree of confidentiality.
• Knowledge of Human Resources Information Systems.
• A knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values and an awareness of the current issues faced by Aboriginal children, young people and their families.
