The MacDonnell region is located in the centre of Australia. Covering 270,000sq km and with an estimated population approaching 7,000, it has a unique beauty with picturesque water holes, magnificent flora and fauna, red desert sands and rugged mountain ranges.

This position will be based in our Alice Springs Office, with approximately 10% - 20% travel to remote communities in the MacDonnell Regional Council area of service.

As the Administration Officer - Technical services, you will be responsible for:

• Coordinating the visiting accommodation requirements for MRC staff and external parties
• Reviewing and processing contractor invoices prior to payment
• Procurement and freight coordination
• Completing standard reports and developing project plans
• Conducting community housing inductions for new MRC staff members
• Travel to 13 remote communities to conduct property inspections as required
• Contribute to the development of tender, grant and other funding documentation

Our successful candidate will ideally hold or working towards diploma level qualification in business, administration or project management and at least 2 years' experience within an administration role.
